Annual Mothers’ Union / Parish Outing

On Saturday 4th May 13 we had our Annual Mothers’ Union / Parish Outing. It was to Letterkenny and Ballybofey. In the morning we went to Tropical World, Letterkenny where we first of all viewed the vast range of plants in the Garden Centre. We then had our morning tea which was followed by a very informative video on the life cycle of the butterfly. Afterwards we saw a variety of Butterflies, along with a large variety of bird species, owls, and mammals, including meerkats, and racoons.

We then headed to the Letterkenny Show, were there was a selection of Stalls with Asian Foods, Homemade Produce and Handcraft. This was followed by a Cookery Demonstration.

After that there was shopping in a Retail Outlet in Letterkenny.

Then it was on to Ballybofey, were there was some more Retail Therapy, including the well known shop Mc Elhinneys.

The day was ended with a delicious meal in Jacksons’ Hotel.

Thank you to all who helped organise an enjoyable trip and to our very patient and helpful driver Owen.
