The Pampered Chef Ready Steady Cook Night in the Wark Hall Belleek was hailed as a most enjoyable evening by all attending. In the red corner was Mr Eddie Graham, in the green corner Mr James Rochfort, and Mrs Shirley Kerr, Independent Director for The Pampered Chef was the compere.
The audience in the full hall revelled in the fun of the evening, including what turned out to be a surprise guest (called Mary!) cooking in the green corner!
Both contestants were given a bag of ingredients and had to prepare a recipe using The Pampered Chef products. While the food was cooking the audience took the opportunity to browse The Pampered Chef catalogue and place orders.
When the food was ready everyone got a sample of the dishes made, Dangerous Delights and Ballymun Buns, and then they got to vote for the winner. The dish from the green corner got the most votes and was declared the winner. Both contestants were given prizes.
The event was hosted by the Church of Ireland Parish of Belleek to raise money for parish funds. 20% of all sales of products went towards to the final total. £1250 was realised by this fun evening of food and fundraising.
